BioThought it was about time I opened up another LJ account - I used to be known as Sammy_Ratgirl, but so very much has changed since I used that that I wanted to leave that one behind. I seem to lead a much more "active" life online than in real life so here is a good place to be :)
I'm a 31 year old mother of one son (Joe, the Boy) who is 7 and diagnosed autistic just last year. I've been dating Tom for almost 2 years. Before that I had some rather abusive relationships and then I dated a girl for a while. I'd say I'm a lesbian who tolerates some males. But I guess I'm bisexual.
I was born & brought up in Ipswich, Suffolk. I moved to Sheffield with my parents when I was 12. I'm an only child and have a few issues with my mother. But we still work together sporadically - we make handcrafted greetings cards which we sell successfully.
I work as a self-employed artist. I specialise in "altered art" and sell both my own work & arts materials in my Ebay shop. I'm back at college studying for my Foundation Degree in Art & Design. Money permitting I'll try for a University place in Nottingham when I complete this course.
I live in a rented 3 bedroomed house which I'm wanting to buy. It is full of crazy stuff which I sell off on Ebay. And also some very special animals. Briefly - Tanner, a rescued lurcher dog who must be about 12 years old now; Dylan, a pedigree mini long haired dachshund who is 2 yrs old, blind & lives with my mother at the moment; Teddy-Toupee & Spike, Chester & Fred - 4 rescued guinea pigs; Greta, Betty, Zena, Chaos & Xtra - 5 beautiful rats; there are also 4 free-range rabbits in the kitchen! 2 are girls from a pet shop - Thumper (grey splotches on white) & Tabby (cream & brown splotches on white), the other 2 were rescued are are lion-head crosses, Muffin is a small brown boy & Snowy is a larger white boy. All the rabbits are neutered.
I have many body piercings (21) and some tattoos (4). This doesn't make me scary. I just like the feel and look of it. I have dyed hair and an undercut (the back & sides of my head shaved). I'm very active on www.bmezine.com. If you are interested then ask me about it.
